Located northwest of Ruidoso between Cedar Creek & Alpine Village Rds, this popular mountain community is close to town, but located in the County rather than the Village of Ruidoso. This means lower property taxes. Lots typically range from ½ an acre to a little over 2 acres with diverse terrain, tall pines, mixed conifers, plenty of wildlife and YES, great Sierra Blanca views! This subdivision had its start back in 1962, by the New Mexico developer Longhorn Development Company.
A domestic septic system is required upon building. Other utilities, such as water, electric, telephone and natural gas are readily available at most lots. All homes must be site built with a minimum of 1,000 heated square feet on a bottom level, two-story max in height and architectural approval to name a few of the requirements. A maximum of 2 riding horses are permitted as well as household pets as long as they are not kept or bred for commercial purposes. At this point no recreational vehicles are to be used as a temporary or full time residency.
In the past the roads located in this subdivision were dirt and gravel. Alpine Village Road though has now been chip sealed as a recent county update. Making these lots and properties on that road more desirable.
