Debra relocated to Ruidoso in 2005 and quickly fell in love with the beauty and enchantment of New Mexico. She came here after a 20 year career in Corporate Finance and Int’l IT Consulting with prestigious firms such as Price, Waterhouse, Coopers and IBM/Candle, forming a successful Interior Design/Home Remodeling business serving all of Lincoln County. In 2019, Debra joined Weaver Real Estate and was able to combine her sales and consulting skills with her passion for serving others during the purchase or sale of their mountain homes. On March 1, 2023 Debra purchased the assets of Weaver Real Estate and launched a new brokerage, Blue Skies Real Estate.
Debra grew up in San Angelo, TX and obtained a double major in Finance and Computer Science from Angelo State University. After several years as a Corporate/Chief Financial Analyst she returned to college to obtain an MBA in Strategy & Policy from The Else School of Management, Millsaps College, Jackson, MS, launching her consulting career after graduation. Debra’s career took her from coast to coast as well as Latin and South America as she focused on designing and implementing financial management/reporting systems for numerous corporations.
Debra began developing a passion for giving old/dated houses new life during grad school when she and her Dad flipped her first home. This passion for improving the livability and beauty of a home allows her to provide a valuable resource to her real estate clients as they visualize their life in a Ruidoso mountain home. In addition, for her listing clients her years of experience in sales, marketing and technology insures an effective sales campaign. Debra prides herself on keeping abreast of current market trends and providing timely and accurate data to her clients – assisting them in making their best personal investment choices.
In her spare time Debra loves to travel, camp, hike and enjoy the natural beauty of New Mexico and the Southwest with her three dogs – Poppy, Frankie and Ginger Bear. She is also a commissioned fine artist working primarily in pastels, acrylics and oils – inspired by the beauty and culture of New Mexico.
